Updated 1/5/20- Added VE Day Concert details & Walk to Kolkata challenge

Virtual VE Day 75 Festival

The National Museum of the Royal Navy, the National Army Museum and the Royal Air Force Museum are joining forces to host a free online festival from 7 - 9 May bringing to life the stories of those who helped deliver Victory in Europe.

Walk to Kolkata

Mrs Higgins has set a challenge for everyone at Scargill to walk from here to Kolkata in India, to raise money for vital supplies to the poorest families in Kolkata, including families from our link school, Mahamaya.

The challenge is for us, as a whole school, to cover the distance between school and Kolkata, which is 5,794 miles either walking, running, cycling, scooting or even roller skating!

It sounds like a long way but if the whole school get involved it is achievable. You could choose to do a mile a day for the month or maybe a few miles each weekend or one longer walk at some point during the month. It could be done in your house, garden or local area.

For more information, follow this link.
