Welcome, Owls and Eagles to our home learning pages. Here, you will find all you need to support your learning. There will be a plan on the website for each weeks lessons and activities. There will also be some resources for you to look at and use; these might include something to read, a link to a pieces of work, or an activity to do independently. Some pieces of work will take just one session; others may need more time. Parents please allow for this and support wherever you can.
We will communicate with you about your work through purple mash, so make sure you have your logins.
Some activities will be set through purple mash, too. Remember to upload them when completed. :)

 Mr Nelson and Mr Redhead.
Well Year 5, we've done it! We've made it to the end of home-learning and we are incredibly proud of all your efforts and we can't wait to see you on Monday 8th.

Until then we've got one more week of hard work to complete.

Don’t forget-this week we have world book day on Thursday. Dress up as a book character if you wish-get creative and have fun with it whether you are at home or school.

DDAT “Extreme Reading” competition -  get someone to take a photograph of you reading in an extreme position or place and then send it in to school on Twitter/email. It may be something as “extreme” as reading under their bed or whilst balancing on one leg – Obviously nothing to put yourselves in danger!

Also this week in English you are going to make a video advert. This is a different challenge from last week because this time, you have not only images to use, but also a real live person-you!

You will be writing the script for the advert, thinking about how to use your voice to emphasise and of course, what you will show on your video and most of all use the techniques you’ve learnt about persuading people over the last couple of weeks.

One more week and we will be back stronger!

Welcome back Y5,

we hope you've had a restful week and are ready to get stuck back into your home learning. We will be starting a number of new topics this half-term. We have a brand new Topic this half-term called 'Dragon's Den', which is based on the TV show where people try to get the Dragons to invest in their new inventions. This half-term we will be hoping to put in place all our ideas we had at the start of the year but these may need adapting due to home learning. Either way, it should be lots of fun!

Remember, do what you can and what's realistic for you to complete at home. Keep making us proud!

Spring Term 2 - Back stronger.
