For many parents a website is the first point of contact when choosing a school for your child. We hope you find that our website provides you with the information you need to make an informed choice.

Scargill is a large, friendly primary school within the village of West Hallam with a proud history dating back to 1662. Learning about our past, living in the present and preparing for the future is our aim. We are delighted to be described as an Outstanding Church School.

‘The articulate pupils are well motivated and keen to do well in school. It is a welcoming, Christian community which endeavours to offer its pupils the best opportunity to grow and develop through the formative years of their education.’ SIAS report 2011.

Prospective parents are always welcome to arrange a visit in order to see us at work in our well-resourced learning environment.
