School meals are cooked on the premises. The top item on the school menu is the main meal served that day. There is limited availability for the vegetarian choice but to ensure your child has this option, please inform the school office that your child is vegetarian. Jacket potatoes need to be ordered by prior arrangement with the kitchen.
Payment for meals should be made in advance on Monday mornings for the week. You can also pay monthly, half-termly, or termly. Meals currently cost £2.30 per day.
Please note that the government currently provides a subsidy so that all children up to the end of Y2 can have a Universal Free School Meal (UIFSM). Please ask the office for more information.
Payments for meals should be made through our cashless system – ParentPay - Leading Cashless Payment System for Schools Account set up information will be sent home with new pupils. If you are in receipt of some benefits then your child may be entitled to Free School Meals, this is different to the UIFSM. Please contact the School Office or Local Authority for more information.
If you do not want your child to have a school meal you may send a packed lunch or, alternatively, you may make arrangements for your child to go home at lunchtime. If you do the latter, please ensure that your child is returned to school five minutes before the start of the afternoon session.
The welfare of the children during the lunch break is in the hands of the Senior Midday Supervisor and her staff, under the overall control of the Head of School and Executive Head.
